So what's the big deal?

This is not your average page of links. Beyond finding websites with the information you're looking for, this database links you directly to significant web pages within each website, allowing you to jump straight to the information you're after instead of hunting through a myriad of web pages and navigation menus within each website. Add to this a powerful search engine that figures out synonyms and even suggests things you may not have thought of, and you've got a tool for cycling advocacy the likes of which the world has never seen! Hurrah!

Why care?

Using the bicycle for everyday transportation:

• reduces oil consumption and the especially disastrous environmental, political and social consequences of it in the age of Peak Oil,
• reduces air and noise pollution, thereby improving the quality of life of everyone nearby,
• reduces the global output of greenhouse gases and consequent catastrophic climate change,
• improves the health, wellbeing and life expectancy of the population,
• reduces the carnage on our roads that leads to 1.2 million deaths and as many as 50 million horrific injuries every year.
